SYLVIA SASSE

Sylvia Sasse is a professor of Slavic literary studies at the University of Zurich. She is co-editor of the online magazine Geschichte der Gegenwart. Her research focuses on 20th-century literary and theatre theory and the interrelationship between literature, theatre, law and politics. 

 

Her most recent publications include Subversive Affirmation: Kritik der Kritik revisited (DIAPHANES, 2024) and Verkehrungen ins Gegenteil: Über Subversion als Machttechnik (Matthes & Seitz, 2023). In preparation is the book, co-authored with Sandro Zanetti, Das mechanische Gesetz der Beschimpfung: Eine Theorie der Autoperformanz (2025).
