GIUSEPPE DI SALVATORE
Giuseppe Di Salvatore was trained as a philosopher (Rome, Paris, PhD), worked as a researcher in Geneva and founded the Philosophical Research Centre in Verona.
After working for two years as a video journalist, in 2016, together with Ruth Baettig, he founded FILMEXPLORER in Basel, an online platform dedicated entirely to the discourse of art films, of which he is the editor-in-chief. Since then, he has worked as a film and art critic and has also gained experience as a film and art curator, on selection committees, in the festival industry and as a panelist.
A hedonist by nose and mouth, philosopher by mind, film explorer by eyes and ears, geographer by heart and walker by body, he likes to say that expanded cinema is to him what water is to a fish—even if he cannot swim.
