BABYLONIA CONSTANTINIDES

Babylonia Constantinides is a research assistant at the Department of Film Studies at the University of Zurich. She studied fine arts and media theory at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and German literature and art history at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, where she was a doctoral student in the International Doctoral Programme MIMESIS. As an artist and scholar, she is interested in transpositions as cultural practice. Her work is represented in the collection of Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus and arsenal – institut für film und videokunst. At the Department of Film Studies at the University of Zurich she is currently completing her PhD on body-based concepts of simulation and survival in the cinema.
